Support future Norris Center Art-Science scholars with our new 2024 calendar: Timing is Everything, Pollinators Meet Plants in Santa Cruz County

Through twelve beautiful illustrations and descriptions of local plant-pollinator pairs, this 2024 wall calendar highlights the beauty and diversity of local plant and pollinator species as well as the importance of timing between plant flowering and pollinator emergence. Each species pair was chosen using data from the Randall Morgan Insect collection, a vital resource of over 70,000 specimens held by the Norris Center.

This project was created by UCSC student Ella Brown (Environmental Studies and Art 2025), one of the Norris Center’s first CAMINO Art-Science scholars. Proceeds from the sale of this calendar will be used to support future scholars in summer 2024.
