CAMINO

The Norris Center supported two CAMINO undergraduate research interns; the research interns worked with Dr. Gizelle Hurtado to establish the preliminary summer data collection of a planned on-going squirrel project on the UCSC campus. The interns studied the behavior and distribution of California Ground Squirrels, and the egg scavenging behavior and abundance of eastern grey squirrels. The research interns also learned how to handle and work with small mammals. Students presented their research at the Fall 2022 EEB symposium sponsored by CAMINO.
