Natural Reserves Supercourse

The UC Natural Reserve System runs a completely field-based ecology and conservation program each spring, summer and fall term. This is a unique opportunity to spend a quarter learning entirely outside of the classroom. This course is an intensive introduction to field research and accepts 27 students from various University of California campuses. Students work closely with experienced field instructors for seven weeks in the field at different UC reserve properties across California studying fundamental concepts in ecology, conservation biology, geomorphology and climate, statistics and experimental design.

There is no fee to apply, although there are additional course fees if you are accepted. You must be an undergraduate at a University of California to apply. Check out the UC Natural Reserve website for an application to the next available course.
