Help carry forward what Ken Norris and Dick Cooley started here at UCSC!

The Dick Cooley Fund for Student Conservation Internships provides funding to support students participating in conservation-focused internships and classes. This includes funding for travel costs to encourage participation in faraway places such as Alaska where Dick Cooley focused much of his work during his tenure as an Environmental Studies faculty member in the 1970's and 1980's. The Norris Center Public Events fund provides specific support for hosting public events for the UCSC and broader Santa Cruz community. This includes funding to support all costs associated with our annual symposia, student-alumni events, and future "lecture-series" events that bring together voices from diverse disciplines to discuss relevant topics in natural history, conservation, and other important current event topics.
